Description from Daniel
I built bedside tables for our bedroom using wood from TOSIZE.dk. The dimensions are 40.0 x 50.0 x 35.0 cm. There is a door at the bottom. The dimensions in our bedroom are not standard so I had to do the work myself. As you can see, we already have several pieces of furniture in this style. It should be a project that doesn't take more than 2 mornings. I easily managed that. The goal was a bedside table with a shelf and a door.
How I did this project
I milled 3 grooves for biscuit dowels in both the body and the shelf. I then glued these to the body and left them to dry for 24 hours. I then worked on the doors using a hole cutter. The doors are held in place by two hinges each. Finally, I worked on the edges using a router. It is important to work strictly according to angles so that the doors really fit. This was easily possible using glue clamps. The work took around 2 hours.
